I want to take a moment and thank each of our customers who continue to trust in AutonomouStuff. We have now provided some type of product, engineering service or software to nearly 2,000 customers throughout the world. This is an incredible accomplishment. I’m very proud of where we’ve been and where we’re going.

2016 Recap

In the last year, key players in the industry have laid the foundation of what will be the future of transportation. Companies varying from the largest in the world to startups made up of 3 people in a garage are all playing a significant role in redesigning the way humans go from one place to another. Significant alignments and industry consolidations are increasingly becoming the norm. Some of these include Samsung’s acquisition of Harman, Qualcomm’s acquisition of NXP, GM’s acquisition Cruise and investment in Lyft, Uber’s acquisition of Otto, ZF purchasing 40% of Ibeo, Delphi partnering with Intel and Mobileye, Intel purchasing 15% of HERE and many more. The total value of automotive-supplier deals in 2015 and 2016 was $74.4 billion according to data compiled by Bloomberg, with each of those years far exceeding the $17.7 billion annual average in the previous 10 years. If leading companies don’t invest or acquire fast, there’s no second chance. There has also been a significant shift towards automated electric vehicles. Companies like Faraday Futures, Lucid and Nio along with massive investment coming from China are putting the pressure on the old auto guys. Industries providing a transportation product are currently being reinvented by AGV systems.

Moving Forward

We are working diligently to continue to support the increasing industry demand and to scale up appropriately to ensure we continue to provide world class products, services and support. AutonomouStuff nearly tripled in size in 2016 and I expect to double that in 2017. I can proudly say that AutonomouStuff has provided more solutions for automated driving (sensors, software, vehicle platforms, etc.) than any other company in the world. This kind of growth doesn’t happen without building amazing trusting relationships with the ecosystem around us. Our technology suppliers like Delphi, Ibeo, Quantum, Novatel, Dataspeed, Mobileye, Nexcom, Velodyne and many others have also helped step up and continue to support our initiatives throughout the world.

Moving into 2017, I will continue to coordinate many initiatives and strategic alignments and prepare our company to set the stage to allow us to maintain our promise of bringing together the world’s best technologies to our customers and partners. We build relationships with our customers to help us better understand how we can continue to add value to help make them more successful. I suspect that we will launch many more hardware and AGV software products and publicly announce our own strategic alliances in the near future, so keep an eye out for us!

Thanks again to all of those who have helped us get to where we are today. I would like to specifically thank our team (operations, HR, marketing, legal, software engineering, application engineering and sales) who are the most dedicated and talented people I have ever met. AutonomouStuff wouldn’t be where it is today without you. As I always say, this is just the beginning.
