Lane change assist
LCA can reduce the risk of accidents during lane changes. Two mid-range radar sensors in the rear corners of the vehicle detect vehicles in the driver’s blind spot or vehicles approaching rapidly from the rear. If the turn signal is activated to indicate a lane change and these sensors detect a vehicle that’s a collision risk, the software generates a customizable life-saving visual or audible warning and cancels the lane change maneuver.
Intelligent lane centering
ILC is a combination of highway autopilot, intelligent decision-making and advanced lateral control to the adjacent lane. It detects vehicles in the driver’s blind spot or vehicles approaching rapidly from the rear and feeds this information into the ILC algorithms. When the turn signal is activated in Highway AutoPilot (HAP) mode, an automatic and natural-feeling lane change occurs.
Adaptive cruise control
Based on mono-camera and radar data, ACC automatically adjusts vehicle speed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicles ahead. The safe distance is programmable through a development UI or using a customer-specific interface. No GPS or map is required. Careful longitudinal control over the throttle and brake results in an experience much like riding with a human driver.
Traffic jam assist
Based on mono-camera and radar data, TJA perfectly positions the vehicle in the center of the lane and automatically adjusts speed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicles ahead. The safe distance is programmable through a development UI or using a customer-specific interface. TJA provides hands- and feet-free automatic highway driving at speeds between 0 and 35 mph.
