Purchasing and Inventory Associate I

AutonomouStuff is looking for a seasoned Purchasing and Inventory Associate who is experienced in building and maintaining supplier relationships and negotiating supplier contracts. The right candidate will also be responsible for controlling appropriate inventory levels and maintaining the highest possible level of inventory accuracy.

What you will do:

  • Assist in building relationships with suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers
  • Assist with maintaining supplier database
  • Resolve material issues with suppliers and process vendor returns
  • Work with Accounts Payable on any billing related issues
  • Measure supplier metrics based on four main focuses; price, quality and service and on-time deliveries
  • Place purchase orders for goods and services
  • Assist with shop supplies, tools and equipment purchases
  • Maintain purchase records
  • Follow through to make sure items purchased arrive on time, are accurate and are properly recorded
  • Calculate freight charges connected to incoming shipments
  • Schedule incoming deliveries and review past due receiving report
  • Research pricing and product selection for specific needs, availability and cost efficiency
  • Review and maintain pricing in ERP system
  • Ensure stock inventory levels are maintained to adequately meet operational needs
  • Perform cycle counts, inventory location transfers and inventory adjustments
  • Perform item entry and bin maintenance
  • Track demo equipment
  • Assist with order picking
  • Create job orders and assist with job scheduling

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Math proficiency
  • Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting
  • Ability to work independently and ensure tasks are completed with little supervision
  • Able to work under stress and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to work with a wide variety of people in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Excellent negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with ERP and data entry systems
