Validation Specialist

Morton, Illinois

What you will do:

  • Validate that all sensors and systems on customer vehicles are working properly
  • Verify and test necessary integration equipment
  • Organize, analyze, document and report test results
  • Carry out customer test plans
  • Review and maintain technical documentation
  • Provide evidence of both internal and external regulatory compliance
  • Troubleshoot issues as identified by other staff members and irregular testing results
  • Ensure accurate records of all validation activity
  • Configure sensor systems, such as NovAtel, Ibeo, Velodyne ect.
  • Work with the integration and support teams to ensure a high level of accuracy
  • Perform ROS installs (possible Autoware, and Apollo)
  • Assist with builds between validating completed vehicles
  • Help to develop validation processes for all sub-assemblies and components
  • Assist with overall quality control

What we want to see:

  • Familiarity with quality control processes and procedures
  • Automotive background
  • Understanding of direct current electrical systems
  • Experience with hardware interfaces like CAN-bus, Ethernet and computer networks
  • Willingness to learn new things such as calibration and validation software
  • Professional, self-motivated and flexible attitude
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Ability to self-manage
