Harness Technician

What you will do:

  • Build and assemble automotive vehicle harnesses
  • Design (mechanical and electrical), engineer, test and install wiring harnesses for by wire vehicles and sensors
  • Manage conceptual design, drawing generation, documentation release and testing requirements
  • Interact with program or technical leads for development and prioritization of tasks
  • Other tasks as assigned

What we want to see:

  • 2+ years experience with soldering, crimping and building complex electrical harnesses
  • Must be familiar with design of electrical interconnects for vehicles
  • Prior experience working with program requirements, equipment performance specs, wire connection lists, schematics, wire gauge sizing, connector selection and related cabling and harnessing documentation
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing project planning, scheduling, resource management, materials ordering, inventory management, and quality functions
  • Proficient in (or demonstrate a capability to learn) harness design based on engineering tools
  • Strong problem solving and oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to self manage time and multitask
